- Is surveillance legal in New Hampshire?

A licensed PI can observe and record a subject in any location where they have no reasonable expectation of privacy — public streets, parking lots, businesses, and similar spaces. - What does a surveillance investigation involve?
- We observe and document a subject's activities, movements, and behavior using video, photography, and written logs. Depending on the case, this may involve stationary observation, mobile surveillance following a subject in a vehicle, or a combination of both.
- How long does surveillance typically last?
- It depends on what needs to be documented. Some cases are resolved in a single day; others require multiple sessions over days or weeks to capture the relevant activity. We work with you to define the objective and plan the most efficient approach.
- Can surveillance footage be used in court?
- Yes. Video and photographic evidence gathered by a licensed investigator is admissible in civil and family court proceedings when properly documented. We maintain detailed logs and chain-of-custody records for every assignment.
- Will the subject know they are being watched?
- No. Covert surveillance is standard practice. Our investigators are trained to observe without detection, using unmarked vehicles and plain-clothes techniques to avoid alerting the subject.
