Legal compliance on every case
Every investigation we conduct operates strictly within New Hampshire law and applicable federal statutes. We never access private records through unauthorized means, conduct surveillance in locations where a reasonable expectation of privacy exists, or take actions that could compromise the admissibility of evidence or expose our clients to legal liability. If a tactic is off-limits, we say so upfront.
Evidence-first methodology
We build cases around documented, verifiable facts — not assumptions. Surveillance is recorded with timestamped video and photographs. Witness interviews are documented in written reports. Skip-tracing and background research is cross-referenced across multiple sources before any finding is reported. The goal is always evidence that holds up under scrutiny, whether in a courtroom, a mediation session, or a private attorney review.
Court-admissible documentation
Our reports are written with the end use in mind. We know that a family law attorney presenting surveillance evidence to the Manchester Family Division has different needs than an insurance carrier reviewing a fraud claim. We tailor our documentation format, chain-of-custody records, and report language to the likely venue — and we are available to provide testimony or affidavits when required.
Transparent client communication
You will know what we are doing, why we are doing it, and what we have found — at every stage. We do not run up hours on unproductive surveillance without telling you. If a case is developing in an unexpected direction, we contact you before changing course. We provide regular updates and are reachable throughout an active investigation.
Realistic timelines and honest assessments
We will not take a case we cannot work effectively, and we will not promise results we cannot deliver. Before any engagement begins, we give you an honest assessment of what the investigation is likely to yield, how long it will take, and what it will cost. If the facts on the ground change that picture, we tell you immediately.
Strict confidentiality
Client identities, case details, and investigation findings are held in strict confidence. We do not discuss active or closed cases with third parties. Our digital records are secured and our physical files are handled with the same discretion we apply in the field. Confidentiality is not a feature — it is a baseline requirement of every engagement.

Confidential consultation
Every engagement begins with a confidential phone or in-person consultation. We listen to your situation, ask clarifying questions, and give you an honest assessment of what an investigation can and cannot accomplish. There is no obligation and no pressure.
Scope and engagement agreement
Once we agree to proceed, we define the scope of the investigation in writing — what we will do, what it will cost, and what deliverables you can expect. We do not begin work until you have reviewed and signed the engagement agreement.
Active investigation
We conduct the investigation using the methods appropriate to your case — surveillance, background research, OSINT, interviews, or a combination. We keep you informed of meaningful developments and contact you immediately if the situation requires a change in approach.
Findings report and debrief
At the conclusion of the investigation, we deliver a written findings report with supporting documentation — photographs, video, records, or interview summaries as applicable. We walk you through the findings and answer your questions. If the case is ongoing, we discuss next steps.
Why methodology matters in private investigation
Not all private investigation work is equal. The difference between evidence that wins a custody case and evidence that gets thrown out often comes down to how it was gathered, documented, and presented — not just what it shows.
New Hampshire courts, particularly the Family Division, have seen enough poorly documented surveillance and improperly obtained records to be skeptical of investigative evidence that lacks a clear chain of custody or that was gathered in ways that raise legal questions. Attorneys who regularly work family law, insurance defense, and civil litigation in this state know the difference between a professional investigation and a cut-rate one.
Our methodology is built around the end use of the evidence. We think about admissibility before we begin, not after. We document our methods so that if our work is ever challenged — in a deposition, a motion to suppress, or a cross-examination — we can account for every step.
This is also why we are selective about the cases we take. We do not accept cases where the requested investigation would require illegal methods, where the likely outcome does not justify the cost to the client, or where we have a conflict of interest. A short conversation at the outset saves everyone time and protects the integrity of the work.
Licensing and professional standards
Kreymer Investigative is a licensed private investigation firm operating under New Hampshire RSA 106-F. All investigators working cases for our clients hold the appropriate state licensure. For cases that cross state lines into Massachusetts or beyond, we coordinate with licensed investigators in those jurisdictions through our nationwide network — ensuring that the legal standards of each state are met throughout the investigation.
